A magnificent, museum grade gem Cerussite.  The finds at Tsumeb gave collector's a chance at some larger pieces of gem rough for this species, but these have largely disappeared into collections now and so anything approaching this size is quite rare.  In addition to the size, you have the near perfect clarity - it is a completely eye clean stone that is free from any of the veils that often plague larger stones.  The color is just right as well - too light and they don't make a strong impression and too dark and you miss the fabulous dispersion.  This gem is a very fine and attractive medium brown that serves that dispersion very well.  Oh yes, and the cutting!  A precision job done to maximize the visual appeal of the stone - and at this size, it is extremely impressive.  Nothing at all to detract.
