While we have seen the very pale green and very light yellow examples of this mineral, a really nice distinct yellow faceted stone is a rare variety indeed.  It is a fine medium, almost lemon yellow hue - a fine color amplified by the superb Russian cutting which simply couldn't be better.    Datolites are bright and brilliant stones, particularly when completely clean as is the case here.  A really fantastic stone.
