This interesting Burmese material was tested in Thailand and came back identified as Edenite. Separation among Amphibole group minerals can be exceedingly difficult and really only suited to gem labs, these are occasionally identified as Richterite or Pargasite. For any of these, it is a large and attractive example of this material, nicely cut and with a pleasant color. Despite a hardness of 5-6, Edenite is extremely difficult to facet so gems are few and far between. Fine example of a nice Burmese rarity. With GIT mini-cert.
