The largest and most attractive faceted Barite we have had from this famous US locale.  The 'golden' Barites of Elk Creek are well known in the specimen world (you can read more here) but, as is often the case, facet rough is an afterthought.  Pity, as they make such attractive stones.  This perfectly cut stone has the classic color, and a touch of the well known zoning, great proportions and is large and very fine for these.  Great US piece and a distinctive color for the species.
