Probably not a cab that would win the most attractive in a contest, but bear with us as it does indeed have its merits. This is massive Scapolite from an obscure Canadian locale, the daylight color being a light greyish-green. The pattern is somewhat attractive, it has a patchwork effect across the stone. The real treat for the gem nerds out there is the very strong longwave UV fluorescence of the material. Intense seems to mild a word for the bright orange reaction this one has. Certainly an odd bird!
