Not a cabochon material that one sees everyday, this large and frankly quite impressive stone, comes from an old collection of scarce cabs. The color is classic Stilbite, the growth of the Zeolite mineral giving the cab an undulating texture - quite lovely. One side of the stone is almost fully transparent so the starting quality of the rough must have been exceptional. Great polish, almost amazing in fact, for a material with a hardness of 4.
