While we have sometimes seen zones of this particularly intense and attractive blue shade in Brazilian Kyanite, we have neve before seen a uniform stone entirely in this color. Some similar stones we have had from Madagascar and Tanzania, but this one is quite unique. A couple of very low relief needles are in there, but the superb cutting (one of the best jobs we have even seen on Kyanite) more than makes up for this. Great gem and certainly a curiosity of interest to the Kyanite aficionado.
