A really fine stone that came out of an older collection. While you may not initially think of brown as an attractive hue, this is that particular light and desaturated hue that seems in some light to have a purplish modifier. We have seen this before in a few other species, namely Diopside. Barites are difficult to cut and soft, so they don’t lend themselves to a fine polish. Again, this one is an outlier - great cutting and polish. Entirely clean and a fine, manageable size as well. Lovely stone.
