Antigorite is the name given to a variety of Serpentine, though the exact determination is extremely difficult to establish without the efforts of a gem lab. Nevertheless, the material does have an attractive color and is unusually translucent for any type of Serpentine - this is so nearly transparent as to resemble some types of green opal or jade in these larger sizes. Interesting piece and not common.
