For the collector of locality pieces, comes this rather rare gem Barite from Flint Ridge, Ohio. Not a species we often see from this state - Fluorite being the much more common of the faceted gems. Even among US Barite locales (Iowa, South Dakota, etc), Ohio is not well known or appreciated. A really fine example, of good size and largely clean - the color is a golden yellow-brown; significantly different from the Iowa or S. Dakota material. With a fine, precision US faceting job as well.
