Here is one that you certainly don't see everyday. Extremely rare as a gem material, Prosopite typically forms only very small, colorless crystals. However, at a deposit in Zacatecas, Mexico the mineral occurs as this unusual blue material that bears a startling resemblance to the finest Turquoise. A superb robin's-egg blue, the color is bright and remarkably consistent - and quite rarely, this one is entirely free of any matrix material. The make of the cab is excellent, a pleasant oval with a fine polish. This material is extremely limited; unusual, attractive and rare - just the type of piece we enjoy offering.
