From a very remote deposit come this fascinating translucent Ruby crystals. Many of these crystals have radiating inclusion patterns that follow the hexagonal structure of the mineral and create a trapiche-like pattern. They make very attractive stones when cut and polished to feature this effect. The present example has a nice semi-translucent body with a well highlighted and centered trapiche pattern. Quite popular now.
