Another interesting find from some of the recent shows in Arizona. Beryl inclusion gems are not uncommon but we have rarely seen them as attractive as in this example. Being called ‘sunstone’ Aqua by some, we prefer to just call this iridescent Aqua as there is quite a lot going on in the gem. Some of the inclusions are not doubt contributing to the bodycolor here, but some of the others have iridescent halos around them that impart a sort of spectral flash across the surface of the stone. We looked over the entire production of this find and found just a few gems that were this attractive in-hand. A fun and rare piece.
