An Epidote group mineral, Allanite has a complex mix of rare-earth elements. While we have offered a few Brazilian stones in the past, this is the first we have seen faceted from Pakistan. In fact, it is generally a very rarely faceted mineral (it is minimally radioactive) and is often missing from collections. This one is unusually fine, free from distracting fractures or trouble with the polish. Superb example and a fine size.
