There is nothing quite like Canadian Hackmanite. Though the mineral is now known from several locales, and there is a good bit of the Afghani material on the market, the sheer quality of the tenebrescence (UV induced color change) of the Canadian stones is unsurpassed. This looks great as a cab with a bit of matrix material for contrast. We’ve not had a Canadian cab of this size either - massive and with a very large percentage of Hackmanite. The image on the right is under longwave UV which causes the stone to change from the left image to the middle one after just about 20 seconds of exposure. It will fade back to colorless/white in a few minutes. Outstanding!
