A very fine and well cut gem Sphalerite with the added attraction of a scarce US locale. Most examples of this species cut from US deposits come from limited areas of Colorado, New Mexico or New York - this is one of the few Montana gems we have offered. It is a fairly distinct bodycolor, a pleasant mix of brown, yellow and green without any being overly dominant. Extremely dispersive, the cutting is absolute precision and the gem is nearly totally clean - there are a few tiny, low relief specks that do not interrupt any of the brilliance.
