One of the most outstanding newer materials that we have seen in recent years. Not only are these inclusion stones of the highest order - the geometric patterns form by the hematite and ilmenite are both dramatic and beautifully contrasted. What really sets this material apart though is that the gem being included in orthoclase feldspar - that is to say, 'Moonstone' with its full adularescent qualities intact. So you have this great looking piece that can surprise when rotated - the billowy effect of Moonstone flashing across the surface.
Every once in a great while you see an exceptional example of this material - perhaps some unusual color or a a very unique and distinct inclusion - as is the case here. The superb large Ilmenite platelet is quite remarkable, larger than any we have seen in this material. Add to that the classic color and adularescence and you have a one in a million piece. Gorgeous and irreplaceable.
