We admit to being fans of this fascinating material from Mexico - Hyalite opal with daylight fluorescence. We have had cut stones in the past but couldn’t pass up this interesting section of the natural growth of the material when we saw it. The botryoidal structure is clearly evident and the stone, though strictly speaking colorless, will appear as a light to medium greenish-yellow in daylight due to the strength of the fluorescence. One touch with a longwave UV light and the stone is alight with intense color. Great collector’s piece or easily enough to use in jewelry.
