From the sole locality that has consistently produced a trickle of truly colorless gem Enstatites comes this superb larger example. This interesting deposit also produces the scarce gemmy Cordierite that is sometimes called colorless Iolite. This completely clean gem is among the largest stones of this rare variety that we have ever offered and is just a knockout example - bright, well cut and absolutely devoid of color. Enstatite is not a particularly easy material to cut and when seen, these often tend to be heavily windowed oval mixed cuts - such a well cut example is quite striking. Superb collector's piece from the occurrence that Gems and Gemology has called 'unique in the world'.
