We were quite happy to be able to offer this gemological classic. Thulite is generally mentioned in most references, but has been largely absent from the market for many years. Mineralogically, Thulite is actually Zoisite (the same mineral as Tanzanite) that derives its unusual color from Manganese. It frequently is found with a calcite or quartz matrix, hence the typical white speckling. This is a super example in a very usable size, nice even color and with a bit of a sparkle as well - the result of the crystalline matrix material. Just to be sure, we had this one checked out by a lab and sure enough, "Manganian Zoisite with Quartz" was the official conclusion.
