What is essentially a colorless gem with a curious surprise; the bodycolor is actually an extremely faint pink. An exceptionally rare color for the species, we have never had a faceted example before. It is an extremely subtle color - if you are familiar with Mexican colorless/faint pink Danburite the effect is quite similar, though the gem is undoubtedly Barite. Moreover, the gem is a precision US cut beauty; great size and entirely clean. Barite is not an easy gem to facet and we don’t often see it faceted to this level - the polish is quite remarkable. A museum grade rarity indeed.
