Years ago we purchased some rough material from a well known Bolivian dealer - we have a piece cut from time to time and have never seen it offered elsewhere. The tone of the Obsidian is quite nice - light and relatively bright. What is remarkable are the scores of tiny gemmy Spessartite crystals present throughout the stone. Best appreciated with a loupe, this is one combination you would never expect. A fun an and interesting gem for certain.
