A very rare manganese phosphate mineral, Eosphorite is a classic ‘type III’ gem material - that is, it is almost always encountered with heavy inclusions. It is indeed problematic and we have never once see a clean stone, so we simply look for those gems that stand out on the rare occasion we see any of the species offered. Here we have a great one - inclusion-wise, it certainly holds its own as there is nothing overly distracting going one. Then you have have a custom precision cut, which is almost unheard of. Fine siz and the quite distinct and lovely color of this species as well. One of the few we have had in what we would judge as fine as they come.
