Superb size and beautiful color. This was an older stone we ‘mined’ from finished jewelry; a not uncommon practice in today’s market. This particular color combined with the ever so slight presence of some silk gives the gem a velvety appearance that is quite beautiful and sought-after. Additionally, we have always been especially fond of these proportions, a kind of wide oval. Great polish and, save for that silk, entirely clean - a rich stone with AGL Sapphire Brief stating heat only that is made even more attractive at this price point.
