A magnificent example of a precision cut and simply striking Zambian Amethyst. The color of stones from this deposit is so rich - a deep, saturated purple with a great reddish flash. This is the color that is meant when enthusiasts use the old 'siberian' term. Amethyst is not a rare gem, so the danger can be to overlook how really attractive and special this color is. Superb size and flawless cutting, this is the largest such stone we have had from this find.
