This variety of Kornerupine became available a decade ago with very little production since - and this is a new and outstanding way to appreciate the uniqueness of this material. The highlight is the dynamic pleocroism of the material - a soft blue-green is one direction and a fantastic lilac shade in the other. The sheer size of this cab allows for a stunning display of color, something that is sometimes lost in smaller faceted gems which are the norm. Great shape and gorgeous color, a fantastic cab to say the least.
