A famed American stone, these chrome Pyropes are the so-called Arizona 'anthill' garnets. A lively and intense red bodycolor that is essentially unmatched by Pyrope garnet from other localities. These have been mined for many decades and are never very large, so a stone of this size is quite a rare example. Moreover, it is a very well done and highly coveted full round brilliant. Simply a fantastic color and easily set in a special piece.
