One of the very times we have offered this unusual species. A very distinctive mineral with a complex make-up (KPb26Ag9Cu24(OH)48Cl62!) Boleite commonly forms deep blue perfect cubes that perch on attractive specimens. These are typically much smaller gems, when they are faceted at all - it rates just a 3 1/2 on the Moh's scale. Additionally, they are never truly transparent but rely on internal fractures to reflect back the very attractive bodycolor. In terms of face-up visible color, this is one of the nicest examples we have seen - no doubt, it is dark, but the color is seen nicely from these reflections. And then there is the unusual, larger size. Great collection piece and particularly nice color for the species.
