Surely one of the most requested gem material of the last few years, and with good reason. The colors produced in the area around Luc Yen are nothing short of extraordinary. Purple Spinel is not an uncommon gem, but in a saturated color that is not overly gray it is downright rare. These Vietnamese stones are some of the best ever produced and we can never find enough to satisfy demand. This is the lovely dominant purple color, saturated and bright that is close to fine Amethyst. Great cutting, size and loupe clean as well.
