A matched pair of Emeralds? Tsavorite perhaps? Your first guess certainly wouldn’t be Kornerupine A superb color for this species, we only have a seen a few stones of this gorgeous color variety from the area around Mogok. Kornerupine is usually considerably less saturated or marred by dark modifiers - even the unusual Tanzanian material tends to have a much lighter tone than this gem. Think the color of Chrome Tourmaline for comparison. From the precious few stones that we have been offered this year we have been lucky enough to put together just one matched pair. These are almost never clean, but these are very very good - nothing distracting. Outstanding color!
