Lazulite in various colors is found at several deposits worldwide, but remains a relatively rare gem material.  One of the finest colors for gem Lazulite is the rare intense blue from Brazil.  The color of these stones is extraordinary - a very saturated, dare we say ‘neon’ blue that is not above comparison to cuprian Tourmaline. While we have seen small stones of this type for many years (think gems up to 1/4 ct. at the largest) we have never once seen a stone in excess of 1 carat, let alone one as attractive and clean as this example. From an older collection, this stone was set aside a few decades back as special then, it remains even more so now. With GIA report.
