This fascinating, and quite entrancing, stone combines the best of two recent Sapphire finds. Firstly, there are some fairly unusual colors currently coming out of Mozambique - earthy greens, orangy-reds (as in this example) and greenish-yellows. Secondly, there has been buzz about the sleepy Rwandan stones that have just the right amount of silk to soften the overall brilliance of a stone. And indeed that is what is going on here - the sharp brilliance is gone and the diffuse color gives the stone a sort of dreamy look. It’s a rather lovely combination and looks quite nice in-hand.
