What an amazing locality piece! Hand collected on Baffin Island, this is perhaps one of the most interesting varieties of Scapolite that we have seen. Firstly is the outstanding fluorescence, again on par with the most intense longwave reactions that we come across. Furthermore, the acicular inclusions are arranged along a common direction resulting in a kind of metallic flash when the stone is rotated. It’s a schiller effect that actually quite attractive. Certainly there are very few of these around.
