This is a new variety that we first encountered from a a few suppliers at this year’s Tucson shows. Initially it was believed that this was Peridot when discovered in the field - given the color not an unreasonable assumption. It has subsequently been identified as Enstatite and a very uncommon color for the species at that. Almost all of the material has some needle like inclusions which made for some interesting star cabs - there was very little of either, but faceted stones were scarcer. One of the largest and cleanest we were offered.
