A gorgeous and superbly cut Fluorite from this now well known English locality.  The color of Rogerley Fluorites is quite distinctive - it is a bit more saturated than most and is not above being called an 'emerald' green.  Fine specimens from the mine have been showing up at mineral shows in recent years - it is currently the only site in Britain being mined on a commercial basis solely for the recovery of mineral specimens.  As facet rough is not the first priority, stones are not common in the market.

This gem is a superb example of the type and is of the finest quality and size. The color is perfect - as the size increases so too does the saturation, so the color is just exceptional.  Moreover, the stone features the unique daylight fluorescence (a medium blue) that this locale is known for. Finally, the gem is has been given a magnificent cut by an AGTA award winner - what could be better!
