Add these to the file of exceedingly esoteric gem materials that we have offered. A decade or so back there was a notable small find of Lawsonite in California. The vast majority was cab grade, a few stones were cut but probably shouldn’t have been. But the color can be attractive and distinct for the species - some stones having a greyish-purple color that is quite nice. We recently bought a few cabs and pieced together this set which is as close to a pair of these that you are likely to encounter. The colors are good match, which is probably the toughest part give the mottled nature of this material - it is just as often a pale pinkish-tan hue.
