A gorgeous and superbly cut Fluorite from this now well known English locality. The color of Rogerley Fluorites is quite distinctive - it is a bit more saturated than most and is not above being called an 'emerald' green. Fine specimens from the mine have been showing up at mineral shows in recent years - it is currently the only site in Britain being mined on a commercial basis solely for the recovery of mineral specimens. As facet rough is not the first priority, stones are not common in the market.
Not only does the stone have the classic fluorescence (a medium blue) that this locale is known for, the gem has quite the surprise - a moving bubble enclosed in a void just below the table. An enhydro faceted Rogereley! Truly unique.
