We always have an eye out for Sapphires with a pronounced change of color. They are such dynamic pieces - stones with a complete change provide the opportunity to have essentially two very attractive colors of gem Sapphire in a single piece. Fine blues are highly valued, so are fine purples, so to have both is something special. This lovely example was recently sourced by one of our Sri Lankan contacts. The cutting and clarity are both excellent and the change is as good as you could wish for. A very lovely gem.
