And here is that other color for Canadian Vesuvianites - the outstanding and intense deep purple. Vesuvianite from no other locale even approaches this color and faceted gems are extremely rare. Typically this color occurs right at the edge of Vesuvianite crystals in a thin zone that is often, and sadly, highly included. This remarkable stone has one of the most vivid colors we have ever seen. And, while not entirely clean, it is significantly gemmy and is beautifully cut - with that mesmerizing color, it is a collection stand-out.
