Gem Rutile is usually problematic for several reasons - clarity can be an issue, as can the polish. Often these are polished so that the metallic luster of the species overpowers any of the visible bodycolor. Such a situation makes visible brilliance almost impossible. All of these are actually excellent reasons as to why this particular gem is so fine. It is a perfectly clean gem and the cutting has been done to just the right angles and proportions to allow for true flashes of brilliance. The polish complements this and allows both the brilliance and luster to coexist happily. A very fine little gem.
