A superb color for this species, we only have a seen a few stones of this gorgeous color variety from the area around Mogok. Kornerupine is usually considerably less saturated or marred by dark modifiers - even the unusual Tanzanian material tends to have a much lighter tone than this gem. Think the color of Chrome Tourmaline for comparison; it’s a really exceptional color. Great gem for the connoisseur of this scarce species.
