One for the collector of rare and unsual Garnet; an Italian Alpine Pyrope. Though well known as a locality, gems from this area are almost never available as the finds are remote and can only be approached on an individual basis. As a variety, it is rather unique in that it has an unusually light tone and fine color for this member of the Garnet family. Mostly tiny, these is actually rather large and quite clean for these. A fine rarity indeed and very difficult to find..
