Benitoite matched pairs of any size have all but disappeared from the market; let alone fine suites of matched stones. With the emphasis on producing the largest stones possible (common for such a rare material), pairs were never a top priority among the producers of these. Now that nearly all the rough capable of producing stones of any size is gone, the scarcity is even more noticeable. This is a superb set - fine, eye clean and calibrated set for easy use in jewelry. The color is just a touch lighter than what some would consider ‘top’; its a somewhat underappreciated area for Benitoite as the stones are still decidedly violet-blue and have excellent dispersion and brilliance.
