A rare copper mineral, faceted Veszelyite is nearly nonexistent.  Crystals are small and fragile (3 1/2 - 4 on the Moh's scale) and specimens are fairly highly valued, so there is plenty working against any facet rough.  However, the color is distinctive and very appealing so it would make an appealing collector's gem if there were any availability.  Oh, and the US locale is also very alluring!

Indeed, we have been looking to locate a few of these for years and have finally succeeded.  This lovely rarity is considerably more transparent than the photo may lead you to believe - when backlit it is fully transparent and a striking hue.  For the species the polish and symmetry is great and the size is not at all insignificant. The visible white spot is just a bit of matrix material, it is not a defect in the polish. A rarity often missing from even the largest collections.
