No doubt, one of the most obscure and difficult to source gem materials in the world. Essentially the top prize for a collector of gems from the United Stated, the only known occurrence for gem Zektzerite lies at a rugged elevation in Washington. Crystals are exceptionally rare, even here at their type locality, so there have never been more than a few faceted examples of this material in the decades since its discovery.
Here we have put together a fine little set with a very fine (and amazingly clean for the species!) gem and a larger, 1.35 ct. natural Zektzerite crystal which shows the very distinctive habit of the species. Great color on both, it is quite nice to see a smaller gem so well cut and with such a noticeable color - the classic and attractive 'peachy' pink. To quote Sinkankas (Gemstones of North America), Zektzerite is surely "among the rarest of all gems".
