4.00 ct. Pollucite
Historically, gem grade Pollucite is
exceptionally rare. Prior to the find that produced this stone, any and all
facet grade material came from small fragments from either Maine or Connecticut.
This is a lovely example of this Zeolite group mineral, well cut and bright -
these are starkly colorless and quite attractive as such. If you look
closely, you may notice one or two small 'snowball' type inclusions - these are
classic for the species. A rare species and quite interesting stone for the cost.
