2.15 ct. Canadian Jeffrey Mine Hessonite

Color:  Medium Very Slightly Pinkish-Orange Clarity:  Eye Clean to Slightly Included
Origin:  Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada Cut:  Oval Brilliant
Treatments:  None Measurements:  9.3 x 6.5 mm

This particular deposit, one of the most widely known Hessonite occurrences, has a very distinctive color - a slightly pinkish orange that imparts a peach color that is essentially unique in this variety.  We never see too many of these, literally just a few dozen stones a year.  Nice size and a great piece for the collector of Canadian or North American gem materials.
