0.49 ct. Colorless Benitoite
Having a fondness for this species, we are always on
the lookout for unusual examples of gem Benitoite. And, while we sometimes
see very small stones that are completely colorless, we almost never find a
colorless Benitoite of this size. These are cut from the typically very
small areas of color zoning that occurs in gem rough. And there certainly
is a distinction to be made - very light blue is fairly common, but those gems
that are without any hint of color are rare indeed. Not perfectly clean,
but nothing that breaks up the brilliance to adds any color to the stone.
Quite large for these - the largest we have ever offered in fact - and
very rare as such.
