0.72 ct. Green Tremolite
An unusual rarity; gem greenish
Tremolite from Tanzania. We have only seen one or two other faceted
examples of this color variety, much more familiar to collectors may be the
purple variety of Tremolite - called Hexagonite - that has a famous locality in
New York. Tremolite is notoriously difficult to facet, so the very fine
job here is an added bonus, the angles are great and the polish is remarkably
good. A very uncommon color for the species.
