7.66 ct. Serandite Cabochon

Color:  Medium Dark Pinkish-Orange Clarity:  Transparent
Origin:  Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada Cut:  Rectangular Cabochon
Treatments:  None Measurements:  20 x 6.7 mm

We really do enjoy being able to offer some very rare scarce materials in cabochon form - and here is another very attractive example.  Serandite is one of the rare mineral species to be found in gem quality at the famous deposit of Mont Saint-Hilaire.  In addition to being extremely rare, the color is a knockout -  a superb, bright pink-orange.  This is a large and well done cab, a great chance to acquire an example of this species at an approachable price.  This one is extremely gemmy and transparent - very nearly facet grade material.
